Bomb!
This is an interesting word.
It has at least three main meanings.
- It can mean the thing that explodes
Example: My uncle bombed Detroit during the war.
- It can describe a person who is really drunk.
Example: After my uncle bombed Detroit, he liked to go to the bar and get bombed.
3. It can describe a big failure.
Example: Mr. Vig’s jokes last Friday totally bombed.
Here Comes Winter!
I arrived in Plovdiv, Bulgaria and it was over 100 degrees.
I arrived in Bucharest, Romania and it was over 100 degrees.
I arrived in Tallinn, Estonia and I thought it was October.
Hello from the north!
Your teacher is a traveller.
This month, I am in the Baltics.
Next month, I will be somewhere else…
Your Feedback
How do I know my Vitamin V jokes bombed?
Because that’s what all your comments said!
But you were all kind.
And feedback is necessary for improvement.
So, as we say in English when you need to start over, back to the drawing board.
Cheers,
Ryan
Thanks for beeing 🙂
We invite you to Poland, it’s still summer here, although the Polish golden autumn is approaching. 🙂
Wenn is in Talin chilly, you can drink a glass of vodka, of course without get bombed.
I think that you want to say that your Vitamin V jokes are very good!
come to Barcelona! we can go to the bar like your uncle!! but not for to get drunk together hahaha but to practice english….here the weather is still good 🙂
Winter? Nope, not yet… There is saying: “It´s not bad weather, it´s the wrong clothes”. Please wear something warmer so you don´t catch a cold.
And… I guess you weren´t bombed last week. It was only necessary to read it 3 times to hit the point…
I like that saying! Very optimistic.
If we all feel bombed
Hi Ryan, I have a question here, why, “in the Baltics” is in plural form, The Baltic is one…., why it is like this?you are in different parts of the Baltic?, in different countries e.g.??
I think because of differt countries: Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia!
That’s right, there are three Baltic nations. (right?) Same when we say “the Balkans.”
Hello teacher! I think that regarding our lessons, is vital you to give us a link for hearing practise. If it is difficult, please give us some advice on this matter (hearing).
What if I read each lesson on YouTube or TikTok or Facebook? Would that be helpful?
Thank you Mr Vig… especially for your last words.. when you need to star over, back to the drawing board…gread truth in all areas of our life.. Have a nice evening Ryan
Usually we call these people, who live in the street bombs, they are drinking a lot of alcohol to got warm and if they are not enough money, they drinking scented water, what is cheaper.

Yes- one more meaning! If you say “it’s the bomb” that means it’s the best!
You are very clever 🙂
