Stereotype.
What does it mean?
Well, I’m not going to tell you.
I’m going to show you…
World War Airsoft
A few weeks ago, I went to visit some friends in Romania.
At the weekend, we decided to play Airsoft.
An Airsoft gun shoots plastic pellets instead of bullets.
So when you shoot your friends you can still go have a beer later.
Before starting our war games, the owner of the Airsoft arena explained to us, in Romanian, how the guns work.
One of the guys asked the owner if he could explain it in English.
Another guy joked, “He’s American, he already knows how to use a gun.”
That’s the stereotype: Americans love guns:
Was I offended?
Yes.
That’s why I shot him.
Cheers,
Mr. Vig
P.S.
What are the stereotypes about people in your country?
Finns newer smile.
You smile a lot Hilkka, thank you for it.
Hei. Oletko sinä opiskelemassa? Eikö se huijari? Minä maksoin Vigin Miracl Methodista 2 päivää sitten, mutta en saanut sitä. Ja tekninen tuki ei vastaa ollenkaan.
Many foreign tourists think that Hungary is equal to the 3 P’s: Piroska, paprika and puszta (the desert).
And is it still a good stereotype that we are hospitable?
Allegedly people from the Czech Republic are cold and not very friendly. They are unhappy. They love their beer. Customer servise is bad and the last stereotype is Czechs are really punctual and organized. What do you think?
Hi! Polish people love vodka as much as Americans guns 😉
A stereotype mean perhaps to put a label on someone or something, sometime a wrong label, but it depends if you choose the positive or the negative side of things…
For example Americans love guns mean also Americans are BRAVE men.
The stereotype about Romanians is that they are trickers and robbers….the positive side, translating…SMART(ha, ha…)
Swedes love meatballs and lingonberry jam.
Swedes are always punctual
Great story!!!
Stereotypes about serbs is that we are allways “”the bad guys” …😄
German people, especially the Bavarian, likes beer. 🍺
Beer and wurstel 😂
A Latvian’s favorite food is another Latvian, and where there are two Latvians, there are three parties 😉
The germans are always on time.
Yes, it’s true, there are stereotypes everywhere, recently in a conversation with someone from another country he asked me: Is there anyone in Spain working or is everyone at the party?
Italy is always pizza and mafia
Warm personaliyy
Mr. Vig ,sorry , but if you come from Texas it wouldn’t be sound like stereotype, or ?
From other side, every week we can hear from news about tragedy in USA schools! So how is it?
Estonians are said to have beautiful, blonde and tall women – sounds nice. But – slow, closed and with a long grudge… hmm, not so nice…Every country has its stereotypes, better not to take them seriously.
Thanks for the good story!
Stereotype about Lithuania, that in Kaunas lives only lithuanians and they don’t like the foreigns))
Hungarian girls are thought to be especially beautiful ……….or we just think that we are thought?
Hungarian people have a boiling blood from eating so much paprika 😉
Finns don’t speak and drink a lot of alcohol and after that Finns are no longer quiet.
Finns are blond, quiet and drunk 😉
I think hungarian likes complain, for example our Hymn is so sad, we want blessings because of bad past. We dont say i love you God, we Just giving a list What we want and Why. This is a small key for our old brain setup.
Otherwise hungarian are talented artists, We are resourceful. To be honest i dont know What others think about us, Just i read it a few things but your question is inspired me for asking that When i will talking with somebody from other country. Thank you you much dear Mr Vig.
