You can make a lot of mistakes.
But the biggest?
Quitting.
Because then, as we say in English, It’s game over.
Oh, and there are also “mini-quits.”
These are when you have an English routine and make progress.
But then you stop for a few months or years, you lose your progress, and then you have to practically start all over again.
Sound familiar?
The First Time I Quit
Sometime between the second and third grade my parents signed me and my best friend, Kimball, up for Tae Kwon Do classes.
It was fun!
I got to run around and kick and punch.
My parents bought me some equipment and a uniform.
I got my white belt.
Then Kimball quit.
And that was the end of my Tae Kwon Do adventure.
I just didn’t want to go anymore without my friend.
The Power of The Group
Yesterday I shared some interest data from Google: Most people join gyms in January and those same people quit a few months later.
Now here’s the other side of that story: that’s only if the join the gym ALONE.
If a new gym member joins group class, he / she is MUCH more likely to stay a member.
That’s the power of the group.
Something to think about…
