It all started many years ago when you were a little boy or little girl in school…
You went to school.
The teacher gave you new vocabulary on Tuesday.
You studied the words on Wednesday night.
Thursday you took the test.
And you pass!
Now you know the words, right?
No, now you know how to pass a test.
That’s all you know.
But you want to speak.
And you want to use the new words correctly.
That doesn’t happen in one night.
And it doesn’t happen through studying.
How To Use Words Correctly
Want to speak well?
And use new words correctly?
First, you must read well.
Read every day.
Enjoy it.
Only choose topics that interest you.
Start with the easy stuff.
Then, as soon as possible, read interesting material made for native speakers.
Because if you read well, you speak well.
And the only way to read well is to read a lot.
And when you read a lot, you see words… you see a lot of words… you see how they’re used… you see what words they’re connected with… you see the correct way they’re used…
And your brain learns.
And one day you speak, and out comes the new word, used correctly!
