Have you ever been to the US?
After you visit New York City…
After you visit the West (San Francisco… Grand Canyon… Death Valley… etc.)
And after you visit the French Quarter in New Orleans…
I can recommend my home state of Virginia.
Virginia is for Lovers
We’ve got it all!
Mountains… the ocean… history… caves….
And – a cool slogan!
New York’s slogan is “The Empire State.”
West Virginia’s slogan is “Almost Heaven” (stolen from John Denver’s song “Country Roads.”)
California’s is “Ultimate Playground.”
Bo-ring!
But Virginia… we’re for lovers!
What does that mean?
How do they know?
Will the police deport you if they catch you in Virginia and you’re not a lover?
I don’t know…
But it sounds cool!

I like outdoor’s activities, predominantly walking in the nature. So if I have a chance to visit Virginia my choice would be to go to vineyard where it seems natural beauty offers a lot to someone who likes calm colorful places and trail for walking and investigating countryside.
I really want to visit Virginia next year to explore the history and heritage of the country. I also would like to go to West Virginia to see the Blue Ridge Mountains. Because I’m interested in learning about the music history in the south of the country, I do hope, that I still have time for it.
If I were in Virginia I would go to the Coastal Towns
Virginia’s slogan is amazing, and, as I see from the Virginia tourist website, it fits perfectly! With so many impressive spots to visit, it will not be easy to choose what to see first. Beautiful nature for hiking and skiing, beaches for sunbathing, spas, and wellness, museums (George Washington’s Mount Vernon, Virginia Capitol and Executive Mansion), galleries, delicious food… It is just a fantastic place!
Wonderful😊
It so nice to.have such a slogan for a country like Virginia’s for lovers !
If I visited Virginia I would be interested at first to know a few things about the history of the country including important personalities, leaders, events in the past, native people.
I would go to see some museums, art galleries, traditions and native festival and also to see some Virginia lakes and waterfalls.
Virgina seems to be a wonderful country. But I need a break from everyday stress, work, life,so Iwill visit Spa&Wellnes.
Lovely slogan, indeed! It´s hard to make a choice, but if I visited Virginia I would prefer to see nature, landscapes, rural life, farms life and it would be nice to experience local culture,
Castleton means “castle town”. The village was officially founded in 1086 after the construction of Peveril Castle, named after its builder William Peveril, son of William the Conqueror. I would like to see it. But Mr Vig, you have absolutely free rein. Follow the path you like. Each lesson from Virginia will be something new and interesting.
If I visited Virginia I would like to go and visit lakes, waterfalls and the Eastern ocean coasts because I like water. I like to be near rivers, seas and outside in nature too. I would like to see mountains but outdoor’s activities are ok if they aren’t profesional or intensive😉. In towns I like gardens and parks and if I would have enough time I would like to visit some museums or just walk around to see architecture of towns. I also likes to enjoy and try something new in some cafes or restaurants. On that way I can feeling the towns or cities and see their habbits. Also I would like to go to some traditional festival like now Christmas advents, which are good places for see and getting to know better people.
If I were to visit Virginia, I would go to Colonial Williamsburg to learn about the history of the United States, to see how people lived there centuries ago, what professions they did. Or… the Chesapeake Bay, or… I can’t choose, there are so many options.
A really nice and inviting slogan!
If I visited Virginia, I would go to explore Virginia’s nature and parks and gardens, because they interest me a lot. Then I would like to go to art exhibitions and learn about history of Virginia… In fact, everything was interesting.
So I would need time to get to know Virginia properly.
some vitamin G!!! (Geology)
Eastern Virginia is a one of the rarest places of the world in which geologist can see some oldest rocks of the earth planet. Some sedimentary rocks older than 600 millions years, and valuable for research because they belong to one of the coldest periods of the earth’s history which is called “Snowball Earth”
If I visited Virginia, I would like to meet you and have coffee with you😉!
Country roads song is very nice! I love it to sing.😊
