As you may remember, my mother recently died.
Before her death, there was a period decline.
First her body.
Then her mind.
That’s common.
As Mick Jagger sings, “What a drag it is getting old.”
That’s another reason I like the story of Jim Thompson.
As he approached old age, he didn’t stop using the stairs, he didn’t buy a wheelchair, he didn’t even forget where he left his keys.
He just disappeared.
Poof.
Vanished,
Into thin air.
That’s how I’d like to go.
My tombstone will read:
Born: 1973
Vanished: 20??
Cheers,
Mr. Vig
P.S.
The Atomic Word of the day is “drag.”
You probably know the verb.
But what is Mick Jagger talking about?
It’s quite common.
And I’ll teach it to you in today’s Atomic Homework audio lesson.
