Have you ever read a book on advertising?
They teach you that people like to buy things that are fast and that are easy.
But I think English students are different.
They spent years in school trying to learn English.
School was boring.
And school was painful.
And now as adults, they think learning English must be the same.
So when I tell them, “No, English must be fun. Follow The Joy Rule or else you’ll quit” they look at me like I’m crazy.
So I give up.
Here’s my new advertising slogan…
Learn English The Boring and Painful Way!
What do you think?
Giving up sounds bad even as a thought. And that advertising slogan sounds bad too.
I want to do English with joy!
That Joy Rule works!
VITAMIN V max
Constant dripping wears away the stone…💦I can already feel the joy flowing through my veins…🤗Don’t give up, Ryan! Be strong! Joy is the really working way …You infuse us with joy in learning…👌🏻
I don’t believe in that. It isn’t in your nature.
You see, a thing they learned in school became a habit and as you know is really difficult to let it go a habit…But, on the other side I don’t like that English hurts!
I like so much The Rule of Joy..
Can you imagine a song….Hurts, English hurts
Isn’t it a dark song??
I like it! Catchy because it’s honest!
The Joy Rule has worked for me when I learn English and maintain my progress, so I appreciate it highly.
For the slogan “Learn English The Boring and Painful Way!” it would be great if you added “Escape from” in front of it, i.e.: Escape from Learning English The Boring and Painful Way!
