Hello from the shores of the Black Sea.
I’m in Varna this weekend meeting with some of my Vig Village members.
This isn’t school and there will be no lessons or tests.
Instead, we will talk, walk, eat, drink and explore.
Just like friends from the village meeting, we’ll have a good time.
And of course, all in English.
The Lost Secret Ends
The story is over.
If you missed it, you can catch up here on the blog.
Now it’s time to take action.
Just like the Vaupes Indians, it’s time for you to listen to your foreign language.
I have a three-step listening plan I give my students.
Yesterday, I explained Step One: Find something interesting
Now, onto …
Your Listening Plan: Step Two
Find something easy
Why easy?
Because if you understand, you’re learning.
If you don’t understand, it’s just noise.
Aim for 90% or higher.
And if you can’t understand 90%, read the text first or find something easier.
Monday: The very important third step
Have a great weekend,
Mr. Vig
thanks
A happy Independence Day dear Ryan! I always remember this day because I saw a.famous movie with a famous actor, titled ” Born on July fourth ” , I was very impressed
Your story is amazing and I think is a very good method to learn a foreign language but also have an idea about it. In other words I.think these Vaupes Indians had another type of culture, an earlier.culture based on sound and language that was before the culture based on writing. As a.primitive culture they have a primitive way to communicate closely by animals .The.superinteresting thing is sometime the primitive become evolved and the evolved become primitive. How about that!
Thank you very much mr Vig
You’re welcome!
