We started the week with an interesting idea.
Many readers commented that they liked the idea very much.
So let’s keep going!
Interesting Idea #2
Do you know Stephen Covey?
He’s the guy who wrote the famous book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
One of his ideas in the book is that successful people bring the weather with them.
Example…
Many people say they don’t feel productive when the weather is bad.
But that’s not ideal because you’re giving away control.
But if you carry the weather with you, you stay in control, and you choose how you will feel.
Now here’s my idea:
Bring Your Confidence With You
Does how someone else speak affect your speaking?
Does what they say… how they look… or where theyr’re from make you relaxed or nervous?
Wouldn’t you rather decide how you feel?
So bring your confidence, and your weather, with you.
Nice and true
Me + confidence = 🔊📢🤞
You can imagine that you are the best… smart with high confidence, and good speaking.. with no fear making a mistake..
I will try. We are not Indian Scientists.
Hi, Mr Vig! Yes, it is language and communication competency: the message has more sides, f.e. facts, contact to the partner, self-statement
and intention. The continue of conversation depends it, what and how do you give reactions of your partner, and how do you feel in the situation, “what the weather is”.
Confidence, is one of the most Important things. It’s easier to be in control when you are confident and probably one of the seven habits of highly successful people is that they use to transform bad weather in a challenge.
Our confidence depends on self-avareness and self-acceptance. Life puts us in this position all the time. If we feel that way – so does the weather.
Confidence is importan and I have it as well but in my native laguage. Recently I had a via meeting with one of my client from Korea. There was a woman of them spoke in English very well. From this I was confused and felt uncomfortable. My confidence was disappeared and I was frozen totally.😥🤪
Oh no!
Yeah .. but to have the weather inside, the first is needed to have a good contact with the good weather to internalize it
This is a great idea!
I tried to follow this advice, sometimes successfully, the other time not so much.
But I keep walking on this way.
Thank you, Ryan for your email, lessons and great ideas!
You’re welcome!
YES✅️, this is very healthy approash towards achieving balanced life in general.
Each time when we would restrict our selves from making comparisons with others and stay firmly focused on determinated goals, no doubts your INTERESTING IDEA✅️ would work effectively in practice.
Interesting thoughts really 🙂
This is wise advice. It could take a lot of time to accomplish this goal because of the necessity for self-improvement and mastery. But with goodwill and good examples, it could be much more efficient.
Who decides what the weather is?
In my childhood, in some periods of the winter, the weather was getting very fierce. Heavy snow storms stopped the public transport and the electricity at the homes. Most importantly they closed the schools! We children gathered at the houses and played…and played… And we wanted this situation to never end. Wonderful weather!
We strongly believed that our powerful desire was prolonging the blizzard with one more day…and one more day. What a confidence😊
Hi Ryan !
No, if I can understand is ok. I cant answer.
If I can’t understand, când ușe signs.
When I understand others speakers, I have confidence. But when They speak very quickly and fluently, I often fall in confuse.
