How was your weekend?
This weekend, I was a tour guide.
I have friends visiting from out of town and I got to show them around Prague.
One of their daughters commented, “Prague is the most beautiful city I’ve seen.”
Become A Reader: Step Three
How do you begin a flossing habit?
You floss one tooth.
How do you start an exercise habit?
You walk for one minute.
How do you start a smoking habit?
You light one cigarette.
See how that works?
Now, how do you think you start a reading habit?
Share your ideas in the comments below.
And we’ll continue the reading lesson tomorrow.
Oh, and when you have a reading habit, you become a reader.
And when you become a reader, you naturally, painlessly, improve your English vocabulary and grammar every day.
Simple
Useful and simple ….This habit every day to take a small dose of vitamin V is my first step to be a reader, and writer
There is a very important saying ( perhaps Chinese ): Even a yourney of 1000 miles begins with a single steps. And that is true almost for everything.
Programming habit, write at least one line code every day
As you already said, starting a habit means to exercise a little on that topic every day..
I buy a book
Just read 1 page, but every day🙂.
One day I just jumped over to Vig’s blog and that is how I started my habit of reading Vitamin V🌞
small steps. To start running, first start walking. start walking today, continue every day and running will come with time. Don’t plan to read 12 books a year, although that would be nice, start with a short novel
I ready your story every day , it’s my habit , is’nt it ?
Baby steps:)
I read it was very interesting
I think I already have this habit. I read almost regularly Vitamin V and some other e-mail subscriptions. Also, I find interesting blog posts, publications, stories, etc., around the internet and read at least one every day. Haven’t bought a paper book in English yet, but plan to fix this 🙂
And another thing I find useful is that when I have two versions of the text I want to read – Bulgarian (my native tongue) and English – I choose first to read it in English. Afterwards, I can read it in Bulgarian, too, and compare what I’ve understood with both reads.
It’s true, when i read vitamin V, I do a little step to become a reader.
