Sunday night.
A posh bar in London.
In a few hours, England would play Spain in the finals of the EURO.
The woman I was talking to, a YouTuber who teaches English pronunciation, asked me, “Are you bothered about it?”
I didn’t know what to say!
I knew all the words she used.
But why would football bother me?
I told her I was confused.
So she translated for me: “Do you care about the match?”
Another addition to my English-to-English dictionary!
My impression is the women who have you met .,would like to begin a conversation with you. I know from my experience, that is not so easy to find the first sentence to begin a conversation with a person you’ve never seen before.. the first question, she asked was not suited to the topic, and the second one, through sound better, but the words the women has used are not the best choice for her purpose. . I would be happy to get correction from Ms. V. and to hear other other opinions about.
A good example of how the same language can differ in different geographical locations.
I think so! If you care about something the state of this thing bother you!
I do agree with all the ideas you have introduced on your post They are very convincing and will definitely work Still the posts are very short for newbies May just you please prolong them a little from subsequent time Thank you for the post.
