Travel.
Many of you say that’s the #1 reason you want better English.
This month I’m traveling.
First India…
Then Thailand…
Now I’m on the island of Malta meeting with members of my community, Vig Village.
Several members have told me that this is their first solo trip.
And it was only possible now because their English is better.
I love to hear those stories.
Three Types Of Travelers
According to your peripatetic teacher, there are three types of travelers:
The Checklist Traveller (You like to see as many sights and do as many activities as possible.)
The Groupie (You like to be in a group and do what the group does.)
The Wanderer (You don’t like a plan; you like to get lost and explore on your own.)
Which are you?
And do you need English for travel?
And is your English good enough to travel solo?

3 types of travelers? That’s thought provoking. What type am I? I think all 3 together. Is there such a thing?
I am the first type
I am a checklist traveler with flexibility if needed. I am as well a solo traveler.Traveling brings a lot of joy. It is way to learn about different nations and their history , cultures, climate, chance to explore new unknown or to do comparisons to what we learned or red about places we visiting.. Meeting new people. Always filled with pleasure .
I am a mix type. The most interesting and most important things are organised in advance. As a check list traveller. 60%. But I have always time to organise trips and programs spontaneously on the spot. As a wanderer. 40%.
I know from now that I am a wanderer. Thanks.
And this is really what I am at the moment in Egypt !
I am the wanderer.😉😀
I like to travel. But what type of traveller I am depends on the purpose of my trip? Probably I am a mixed type. If I have enough time, I am a wanderer. I enjoy group travelling, too.
I’m a Groupie I like to go with a Group, small but effecient; yes english it’s very important from small things to great without it could very difficikt go around the world
I am the mix of the first and third. To know English is essencial.
The Wanderer , I am, I like to discover place without plan, my english now is enough to travel, to know new land and people, to eat more english. of course, I would like to travel with my love, sorry but the best in my life now.
This afternoon two peripatetic friends visited me. They showed me photos from their last journey- Armenia. They were already in 116 different countries- definitly wanderers. And what’s about me? I’m above all a digital wanderer.😎
I AM IN BELGRADE, SERBIA. I LEARNED ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE. I can say that I don’t know how to speak. I think my knowledge is scarce. I would like to learn to speak perfectly and if possible very quickly. I need knowledge for the job I need to perform. You can help me. Thank you
I like mix of this three types, its depend where I go, why I go, how many time I have or can spend on my trip. Solo trips isnt strange to me. It easier to know a little bit English o more and to have good orientation in space, or ability to ask citizens for places, and to know what you want to do and see. I read something and have some plans before I go on the trip, not checklist, but also I like to search and to be surprised by an unexpected discovery along a way. And, for me, its most important to take rest in some cafe, restorants, look local people, not to hurry too much and not to see everything for the first time…
Hi, Im wanderer rather, but a little checklist traveler too. I must travel with someone, who knows spek english better than me.
Hi ! I live solo and I travel solo too So I’m WANDERER because I like discovering place without plan and be surprised…But I feel mix too because I also like meeting people to share great moments and often I found travel buddies so we can pursue the journey all together and it’s so fun to do that! I like it and even we’d traveled in other’s countries after together because opportunities was offered to us ! Life is amazing and wonderful. And I speak better English now I feel I improve it so I can manage even when I travel in India with their crazy accent 😉
I don’t like to plan when I travel, but depend on the situation. I like to explore sights unknown and meet new people I’m keen on local products and wines. I think that I’m a wandereer when I can do It.
The Wanderer. And now I wonder why the rains follow me. If your lands needs wayer, call me to you.
Rains follow me too. Example I have been 5 times in Italy and every thimes was cold and rainy
I’m mix from checlist and wanderer traveller. I dont like the timetable pressure, I want experiens like, see the local people and tastes and smells, see into the secret backyards etc, but i like to see sights and do any local activities too.
I like traveling like group!😀
I travelled to Malta with my daughter, who knows English very good
