I’m creating a dictionary.
If you’ve taken any of my courses, you know I’m not a fan of dictionaries.
One reason is they’re confusing.
Sometimes you need a dictionary to understand the dictionary.
But my dictionary will be different.
It’s going to be super simple.
For example…
This morning I was trying to find a simple definition for the word “both.”
A small word, but not easy to define.
So I found a simple dictionary written by an English teacher and I also asked AI for help.
Here are the two definitions I got:
Definition one: two together
Definition two: used to emphasis two things at the same time
One was written by an English teacher and the other by AI (artificial intelligence).
You tell me: Which was written by the teacher and which by the robots?
And which do you prefer?
Let me know in the comments below and I’ll tell you more tomorrow.
I do prefer the first definition which was, in my personal opinion, given by a teacher because of its conciseness.
Hello Mr.Vig,According to me , ‘both ‘ definition 2nd is more suitable than the first definition. To emphasize two things at the same time .This explanation is written by teacher .Good evening.
I prefer the second definition.
I prefer the first and simplest definition that I think it belong to a real teacher simply because every real teacher tries to simplify by
the time all the definitions that he teaches.
I think the first one was written by the teacher and the second one by AI. Of course both are correct
I prefer “two together” …
Maybe AI like a the longer one, so I ques that definition two is by the robots.
I prefer the first one, more simple.
I accept and prefer the first definition (Two together), because the 2nd definition speaking about time which is not necessary .
2nd option was written by AI, I think
I think the second definition is from AI because AI always give some explanation, first one is simpe and it’s look like is from real teacher.
AI, as usual, explains a lot, so I think the first, simple definition is the human/teacher’s formulation. I like it better.
I think the first definition was written by a teacher, while the second by AI.
For me the best definition is two together, Probably written by AI
Two toguether(English teacher). I prefer the other definition.
In my opinion the second one definition is given by AI, because the sequence of the words in the definition is very standard, and it looks like a default sentence. If you imagine, it is the definition we can expect if we query a database and it is a recorded electronic voice that answers us. Don’t you think?
Hi! Really i prefer Definition 1 and i Think that the Last Definition îs made by AI. I’m very curious that answer îs corectly .
I prefer the first definition
I am almost sure that the first one is from the teacher and the second from AI. Sometimes I use AI and I recognise the style of explaining.
I prefere the first one, it is short and clear.
Hi Ryan,
I think the English teacher wrote the first one and it is the simplest one. That’s why it’s the one I prefer. Two together : very clear.
I prefer the first definition and I think is writed of IA.
I prefer the first definition and I think it writed of iA
I suppose that the first one was written from the AI and counterpart the second from the teacher.
Two together written by the teacher
Hello, two together was written by the teacher, and I like it.
I think the first one is teache’s explanation and the other is AI’s (seems more technical)
Hi, personnally I prefer first définition, it’s more simple and exact. For me, ” both” is. not an emphasing word, just link two persons or things. I believe the second définition is from IA – but ???
Hello Mr Vig,
The first definition, “two together,” was made by the AI because it is very short and simple.
The second one, “used to emphasize two things at the same time,” was written by the teacher because it explains better how to use the word.
I prefer definition two which I suppose from dictionary!
I prefer “two together”. I belive it is written by the teacher, because it is short and simple
“Two together” was written by the teacher, the human.
First was written by IA,
Second by english school teacher
The second definition
I think the first is by the robots and the second is by the teacher. Both definitions are right in my opinion.
I think the first one was written by the AI and the second one by teacher.
I would prefer the first definition
The definition two is from a teacher
Well, I think the first answer was written by a English teacher and the second one by AI
Both- two together is from AI , simpl and understandable
Hello, I think two together is much faster to understand, and this is perhaps not the dictionary methode
The first one was written by teacher and of course i prefer these version.
I would say the first one was written by robot
IA : Two Together
Other by teacher
Hei. I use the first one more. I think that is written by the teacher. Very simply and easy for students to understand.
The second definition is that of a teacher in my opinion.
I think the first one was written by the teacher and the second one by AI. I prefer the first because is more simple and easy to remember.
I prefer the definition one ( two together ) more than the definition two ( used to emphasis two things at the same time) . Because the definition one is simple and you could understand immediatly the meaning. The definition one written by the teacher but the definition two written by robbot
