Imagine this….
You want to get in shape.
You have two choices.
Choice A) Join a gym
Choice B) Move
Which choice will FORCE you to get in shape?
Even if you’re tired… it’s the end of a long day… you’re feeling sooooo lazy…. And you really, really don’t feel like exercising.
Oh, and your new apartment is on the fifth floor of a building that doesn’t have an elevator.
Forced To Speak
Can you do this with English?
Of course, you can!
The key is to put yourself in front of an English speaker (who doesn’t speak your language).
And the English speaker wants to speak with you.
Now you MUST speak!
This can be with a teacher… in a cooking class… in a dance class… in a book club… with a new flatmate…. with a new co-worker… with a new husband / wife / boyfriend / girlfriend…
You have options.
Can you think of any other options where you will be forced to speak English?
Which of these options do you like best?
And then I’ll tell you about a new option – my option!
(And I think your current husband / wife / boyfriend / girlfriend will like my option better than some of the other options.)
We mustn’t never give up.I agree.
Yes I would like to join discucion
I think that learning English would be most enjoyable for me on trips abroad. I was once at Etna. Our tour guide only spoke English, so I tried to understand as much as possible and was brave enough to ask my questions, even though I knew that not everything was grammatically correct.
Yes it’s nice to compare English increasing with gym effort and I’m sure there will be the best results. About me, I teach biology and I use to have some Ukraine students because this country.is nearby Romania 🇷🇴,but they don’t speak Romanian and when I want to ask them something they say….”please English” and so I was forced to speak English but also glad for this situation.I began to learn some bio terms and lessons in English and recently I do my best to compose a story that happens in my dream wich I’m very enthusiastic about.
When I travel abroad…
Almost every week I meet people’s who speaks only English and it makes me feel so stressed because my English is so primitive and stuck – one reason and when I travel- it’s motivation
I need to talk English in my work, but I can’t….
Your new English speaking BOSS is best motivation 😉
Mr Vig I think that the best now is to wait your option, it’s not long time to wait and I am confident
I continue to learn and look for different opportunities to speak English.
Yes, now I must speak with you but I make most mistakes… Please don’t…
Finding a husband who doesn’t know my language is the best way to learn.
My old flat is to the third floor of the building. And yes, that doesn’t have an elivator. My option would be with a coworker.
