It’s a fact.
As your body gets older, so does your brain.
I was just talking with some of my Vig Village members about this.
Here’s some advice I heard (including from a doctor)
- walnuts
- sleep
- exercise
- avocados
- tequilla (just kidding)
And of course… English!
Anything else you can think of?

I have some ideas about how to keep your brain young:
– pay attention to diet, means how and what you eat( fruit, vegetables, meat for protein, fish, green leaves, eggs)
– eat moderate quantities of food, sometimes be hungry is also good for .many hours, even 24 hours
-exercises, walking outdoors, in the forest
– take a breath meditation
– very important practice a hobby( arts, piano..whatever you love)
-read everyday something and think at the ideas you have read
– do the things you love with pleasure
– be kind and emphatic, stay positive so as it is possible
In a way I have the feeling that a young brain pull the body after it and of course the opposite is possible.
i like that!
Thanks!
hear our body, what our body ask to us
Laughing, hugging, deep breathing…and try not to think about geting old 🙂
Everything you do with enthusiasm and with your heart 🥰
Oh yes, you can do a lot of things to keep your brain young:
plantbased nutrition,
physical training,
relaxation (sleep, breathing exercises,…),
challenges for the brain like reading, talking with other people about different topics or learning English online with Mr. Vig,
time in nature (“forest bathing”) or
quite simply mindfulness to recognize, what is in this moment good for my healthy lifestyle and so- also as a result- for my brain. 🙃
Be with younger people, you can feel younger , and speak with them, make activity with them, eat good but little, stay young in mind
Hi! As long as you can take life with fun and humor ( even make fun of your bad memory) everything is ok. Of cource crosswords and puzzles also are useful. Also good sleep and good diet.
And there is no doubt that English plays a big role for our brain. That is why I”m here😊
run after goats and sheeps.
ride a motorcycle
make love
I would love to run after goats and sheep ! It seems to has in itself almost everything what was already written – being outside, close to the animals, exercising, picking nuts along the way, drinking goat milk in the evening (but better pasterized), keeping slim figure with all that running, laughing at the jumping lambs, maybe even dancing barefooted at the meadows… Who knows?
Of course the list could be continued, but I’m going to sleep now, because it’s already past midnight here. Thanks for the reminder!
A joke, a laugh…
the reading, sudoku, crosswords and a lot of positive feel

Eating colorful fruits and vegetsbles – red, yellow, grean, orange – the darker, the better. The colors act like antioxidants in our body, and slow the aging.
Lots of clean water, especially in the morning.
Eating smaller portions of food, don’t overeat.
Exercising or brisk walking, outside if possible.
Eliminating stress as much as possible.
Danzing. Hugging. Kissing.
Laughing !
…and more, as you mention it
lifelong learning 🙂
for Example English, music…
As a wise Man says, the body gets older but the soul does not.
I think that the best brain care is to always be in love with life.
Be curious!
Don’t regret growing old.
It’s a Privilege denied to many….
Goditi ogni istante che ti viene donato e davvero non pentirti mai di esistere ancora, ne hai superate tante? Forza e coraggio si continua!
All of these are good, except alcohol. In my opinion is good dancing, listening to music, reading, laughting and SUDOKU too.
Food and habits help a lot. I found some books about it, already read 2 of them and find them interesting. Now, (I remember Ryan told as at the beginning that one needs a month to built the habit), I am trying to build some healthy habits. Generally, I was not good at this. We’ll see this time. I let you know.
