Hello from London!
I’m here for a weekend business event.
About 100 business owners from around the world will gather to learn and have fun.
But today I was a tourist.
There’s a lot to see in London.
It was hard to decide what to see in just one afternoon.
But when I woke up, I didn’t feel like putting up with lines or crowds or noise.
I wanted to look at pretty pictures in a quiet place.
So I went to The Tate.
And that’s what I got: pretty pictures in a quiet place.
Another Strange Sign
And as usual when I visit the UK, I find signs which I don’t understand.
Here’s one I saw today walking back from The Tate:
Any idea what it means?
Only white… That’s all I see.
Dry riser inlet: there is a pipe system in the building to help the firefighters to send waters to all levels through this pipe system and this inlet is to connect with the firefighter car. There are several outlets in the building where the firefighters can get the water from it to help put out the fire.
Here ´s thé thing
Hi,
I understood that “dry riser inlet” is an installation, on the ground floor, of a building with several floors. Usually the riser is empty (dry). During an emergency operation, firefighters filled the riser with water to deliver it to the upper floors.
Thanks to you Ryan, every day we learn something new. Thank you.
London is known rather as a place with rainy days and mild temperatures instead of high temperatures, but the weather changes sometime.
Yeh , good choice London Tate and I have an idea for you with this sign and the strange previous sign…You said you are a traveler and you pay attention on signs, maybe they are a guidance for you in one of your actions, pay attention of the meaning…that I don’t know but I’m so curious about In other words maybe is a good idea to put up with these strange signs
And words memory I think wanting to remember is say your brain to acces the word in your words archive…
For firefighters. A place to connect an additional water supply inside the house in case of fire.
