As you may know, I taught English in Prague for many years.
Whenever I met a Czech or Slovak who had really good English, usually it was because they had lived in the US or UK or Australia.
Usually, they didn’t need my lessons. So my conclusion was, living abroad is a great way to master English.
But 2020 had one more surprise for me….
After I launched The Society and The Vig Store, I saw that many of my students were living in the US and UK.
“Very interesting,” I thought. “If they’re surrounded by English, why do they need me?”
Can you answer that question?
Are you currently, or have you ever, lived in the US, UK, Australia, etc.?
What was/is your experience?
What are the challenges you have now that didn’t exist before you moved?
