Walking through The French Quarter yesterday I spotted a sign.
“Ah ha,” I thought. “A mistake to share with my Atomic Homework readers.”
Here’s the sign:

But then I thought about it…
Is it a mistake?
What do you normally see written on these signs?
What would you write?

Don’t walk into the rain there!
I’ am sorry.
I tried to make a joke.
( not funny(
Do not enter
Access forbidden. No entry !!
NOT GO HERE
Everybody has his own way. So, maybe it´s not your way 😉
I would use rather “no passage”.
For me “this way” refers to the manner of going. Am I correct?
It can be
Thanks for your mail Mr Vig it’s always nice to have them. I just want to say. Even if we live totally different life
Here no
No entry .. perhaps
Maybe the word “way” is used more for behavior or habits or choices. For a physical path we would rather use “road”
Normaly I see “No entry”, but its not polite.
Since I don’t know the context, I don’t know what to write. One of our neighbors, who do not want that somebody walk on his plot has written “Military minefield”:)
Ha! Great idea.
[…] Did you see yesterday’s Atomic Homework? […]
Take another way 😉
I propose : do not enter this road/ path …?
I think the expression : « this way » indicates the manner, the method, the way of doing something
If we use « way » with the meaning of road, then could it be : do not go on this way ?
Forbidden for pedestrians.
Don’t go down the wrong path, go the right path.
