This week, we learned you can suffer a major blow.
You can have major league talent.
And if you study at an American university, you can major in underwater basket weaving.
Finally, I want to warn you about a minor mistake.
I often hear students say “major” when they want to say:
MAYOR
Do you see the difference between these words?
Do you know the difference? (ex. Who is the new Mayor of New York City?)
And do you hear the difference?
Students often mix these two words up.
Here’s what I recommend:
Go to YouTube, search for “mayor of New York”, and listen to some interesting news stories about this crazy, new mayor.
That will make your memory of the word stronger.
And if you want to know the simple trick I teach my students so they never make this minor mistake, go to the audio lesson now.
Have a great weekend,
Mr. Vig
