This week, I’m a tourist.
Today, I went to a museum.
It was lovely.
One reason it was lovely was because none of the visitors in the museum were speaking English.
Let me explain…
A few years ago, I visited one of the Smithsonian Institutes in Washington, D.C.
I wandered into an exhibition on American inventors.
A middle-aged American couple walked in right behind me.
We all started to read about the man who invented the toaster.
Then I guess they got hungry, because they stopped reading and started talking about toast.
What to do?
I didn’t care about their opinions on the best types of toast.
But I could no longer focus on the text.
And I couldn’t tell them to shut up.
That would be rude.
Plus, in America, everyone is born with the right to talk about toast.
So I just left.
Sometimes it would be nice to not understand…
Sometimes this is going to me too.
Then I go apart and I try to concentrate on exhibition’s stuff
It’s a very interesting parabole.
🥪😆🙌

All these charming little hearts embracing these unknown words add a poetic touch to this mysterious text.
Curiosity led me to discover your country: Bosnia.
Welcome
That was a common experience you were talking about.
Me neither don’t like that.
You pay money for the exhibition but some people take no concideration about others.
🤣🤣🤣
This sounds good. I am open for learn togather. Of course step by step 🙂
Earplugs are the answer or something like this. 🙂
I understand that, some people don’t know common sense and you can’t tell them to lower their voices because it’s a public place.
Yes, you’re right and sometimes it would be nice to understand , all the words.
It is good not to understand information that does not interest you and that distracts you from your goal. But it is better if you can concentrate every time, be patient, remain calmly and let others not disturb you.
But it is also about the level of education, everybody needs to know and respect that in the public places it is normal not have an unplesant behavior for the others.
Okay! A good experience!
I have been in Mosonmagyarovar Hungary. There is a great mineral spa. I have not understood a word
Wonderful country.!!! Lovely swiming, hralthy

It is good to know English but sometimes it’s not 😉
It’s a representative case of rude behaviour those they feel as dominants and don’t considerate the others. Unfortunately the most of us we have faced this kind of attitude.
I thought that it was an exlusive privelege of youngers but the reality is completely different.
They must have been very hungry to lose control of themselves!… or very rude by nature…
However, sometimes in the exhibitions, there are two or three visitors who come with a specialist of the paintings exhibited and who give them very interesting explanations to help them understand the subtleties of certain paintings…. they may not speak very loudly, but I listen carefully and steal their words with delight !
It’s good to understand English then…
I like to say you have to like that picture or art, then try to get know more about.
You don’t have to be artist or to look at only famoys arts, especially if you buy some picture for your home and tou will have to look it every day, for example…
Hi Ryan,
Today we meet more rude people than before. And because they got no education, they bother you without knowing they are bothering you. Because you are polite, and don’t want to be rude, you live….
It’ s a pity, it’s the inversion of values.
I mean : you leave
Hi Mr Vig, maybe an idea could be to suggest them a good restaurant nearby where they can discuss over/ about toast. So you could have continued viziting the museum.
Hi, it was interesting story. Yes, Im glad when I dont understand people on big place like are museums, railway station, cinemas because everybody to speak. It to disturb. In the gallery or the museum especialy !
I want to speak english very well, but I can,t.
I like it Mr!!
