Last month, I met with about 20 Vig Village members in Sofia.
One of the members brought her 16-year-old son.
And his English was almost better than mine!
“What’s your secret?” I asked.
“Video games and YouTube,” he replied.
And can you guess what kind of videos he watches?
NOT boring grammar videos!
The Good, The Bad And The Boring
Last week, I said some terrible things about our friends, Mr. You and Mr. Tube.
I said they’ll rot your English.
I said they’ll mug your English.
But now, I want to say something nice.
YouTube can do wonderful things for your English.
If…
Mr. Vig’s Perfect Practice Protocol
What’s that?
It’s new!
Most teachers tell you what to study.
I’m going to tell you how to practice.
Here’s what you do:
This weekend, when you feel like relaxing before bed, turn on YouTube and watch any videos which are…
interesting
easy
fun
That’s it!
And here’s a channel a lot of Vig Village members are watching:
Enjoy!
I am Radoslav Karanfilovski from the city of Kumanovo, North Macedonia, and I want to tell you about Prof. VIG. I listened to him for 3 hours and was impressed by the way the man spoke beautifully, slowly and clearly, but English has a lot of grammar, so yes, in those lectures, he is the one who gives everything I understand what he wants to say during the class. If you compare him to YouTube, he is a professor. and youtube can’t be grasped by his little finger. Why. First of all, he speaks slowly and clearly so that I don’t need google translate, as the professor said in the first class, the most important thing is how you speak, i.e. those of us who don’t know English. and there is a lot of grammar, that’s another thing. I thought I knew about 60% English, but when I listened to him, I understood 100% what he wanted to say. Personally, I’m not good at speaking and that’s why I follow him. and that’s all I have to say, tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. greetings from North Macedonia begin.
Glad to hear it!
yes its true my kids learn english mostly from vedio games and youtube as well😊
Mr. Vig’s teaching always and forever is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you very much!
Thank you for your advices. In YouTube there is also Lovely English Stories with different levels, vocabulary and questions about the story. Perhaps someone will be interested on. Greetings
Yes, there are some nice stories on this channel, but I found something that it seems more interesting to me, like learning English, vocabulary and expressions from news headlines.(BBC)The topics are very, very interesting, according to the events in these days, there are headlines from important newspapers like Sky News, The Economist, Le Monde and finely they have a little quiz.So nice!
