My new favorite cafe is in the Old Town.
It’s hidden, so not a lot of tourists find it.
But I do have to walk by a lot of tourist businesses to get there.
For example: it’s right next to The Torture Museum.
Ugh.
Who wants to see that on their holiday?
But let’s look on the bright side…
SEVERITY
This week, we’re talking about Atomic Word #2,025, “severe.”
Here’s how you can use it as a noun…
In the old days, before we had the rule of law, our kings and emperors and monarchs used to torture and execute us citizens for minor crimes.
The punishment did not match the severity (the seriousness) of the crime.
The U.S. Constitution got the ball rolling by forbidding “cruel and unusual punishment.”
Now it’s unusual to see torture in Europe.
Unless you buy a ticket…
Have a great weekend,
Mr. Vig
