Can you understand Arnold?
He’s got a crazy accent.
But he’s fluent in English.
Here’s an inspirational quote to start your week:
I’m a quitter
I’ve quit many things.
I don’t like to admit it.
But it’s the truth.
Is this the worst language product ever invented?
Do you get a lot ads for English products?
I do.
(I guess those Silicon Valley engineers aren’t that smart after all. Or someone thinks my English needs improving…)
If motivation is your problem….
Yesterday was a rainy day here in Virginia.
So instead of my usual afternoon hike, I decided to go into town for a swim.
Here’s what I noticed…
How to fail at English
I was looking around in the barn last week.
A barn is a building where animals live.
Except here, the animals moved out long ago, and the junk moved in.

Worried about your future? Then you need “certainty.” Here’s how to get it…
CASTLETON, VIRGINIA – Astrology… computer models… expert opinions…
What will the future bring?
Knowing makes us feel safe.
The word for this is “certainty.”
If you’re certain something will happen, you’re sure it will happen.
And knowing this brings a feeling of comfort and control.
Well, I don’t know the future of the world.
And that’s OK.
Because I already have certainty and comfort and control.
How is that possible?
Because I know MY future.
Do you want to know what it is?
OK, I’ll tell you.
Today, I will make myself a little stronger, a little smarter, and a little wealthier.
Tomorrow, I’ll do the same.
And every day after that.
That, I can control.
And that makes me feel good.
It doesn’t matter what happens in the world or what happens around me.
I control myself.
And today I will make myself better than I was yesterday.
That’s my future.
What’s YOUR future?
Cheers,
Vocab Vig
